Never Settle for ‘Frankenfood’ Again
At Nally Fresh we're proud that we're a 90% from-scratch kitchen. But more than that, we've always consistently offered up what many food writers now call real food.
Isn't it strange that "real food" is even a thing to accentuate? In fact, many writers are calling real food a "trend for 2016!"
We think that's great. But of course, we've ALWAYS thought that so called real food is great because to us there has never been any other kind of food. Frankenfood has never been an option for us, and it never has to be for you, either.
Another trending expression, "clean eating" (food prepared free of artificial ingredients, additives, and antibiotics) is more than fashionable; it's primal, normal, and the way things are meant to be for humans. And yes, it tastes better.
Maybe offering up real food is rare these days because it's harder to do. There's a time crunch involved. It requires energy, systems, and tight teams who run hard to make it happen. That's why we're so dang'd busy 'round here — expending prodigious amounts of energy to make FRESH and REAL a real reality for you. Really!
Real fresh food is also healthier than hyper-processed frankenfood. But you knew that because everybody knows that. It ain't rocket surgery.
"Just this past fall, a few large chains made announcements about their ingredients," says Annika Stensson, director of research communications at the National Restaurant Association, referencing the move from many companies—including Taco Bell, Papa John's, and Panera Bread—to take out certain additives. "And we expect to see more."
Of course we're glad they all got the memo! But while all the others are catching up, Nalley Fresh will always be at the forefront of fresh and will never settle for anything but the realest, freshest, and tastiest food available in our chef-driven fast casual point & pick shoppes.
To us, that means going beyond "removing" certain ingredients (because they were never part of our philosophy anyway); it means a commitment authentic food — with ethnic, regional, and local ingredients.
